The California English Language Development Test (CELDT) is a state language assessment that measures the development of English language acquisition. This test is accessible to students grades TK-12 whose home language is not English. This assessment tracks a student's language acquisition through listening, speaking, reading and writing. CELDT is currently phasing out as California's language assessment.
The English Language Proficiency Assessment for California (ELPAC) is the new language assessment that will replace CELDT. The transition will be complete by 2018.
Below is a comparision chart of the two assessments. Please visit the ELPAC page for more information.
