T.H.R.I.V.E. ACADEMY vision and mission statement

Vision: To inspire the love of learning by constructing meaning and learning through exploration and discovery. 


Mission:  To provide a HIGH QUALITY, TRANSFORMATIONAL education that fosters strong RELATIONSHIPS, ignites IMAGINATION, and promotes VISUAL ARTS and  ENRICHMENT  for today and the future. We are dedicated to offering inquiry project-based learning opportunities that engage students in hands-on enrichment across a wide range of disciplines, including arts, music, technology, science, physical activities, while providing essential social and emotional support, academic tutoring, within an inclusive, safe, and fun environment.

T.H.R.I.V.E. Academy is a comprehensive expanded learning opportunity program that extends beyond regular school hours to provide engaging and hands-on educational experiences. Students are supported academically, socially, and emotionally. T.H.R.I.V.E. Academy offers 9 hours of expanded learning opportunities per day which includes the combined instructional school time of 6 hours.  The academy hours of operation will be from 7:30-8:00 a.m. and after school until 5:30 p.m. Furthermore, priority will be given to students who are able to participate in T.H.R.I.V.E. Academy 5 days a week for the entire daily duration of the program to receive the benefits.

 

Enrollment is open to all students in grades TK-6th.  Priority will be given to unduplicated pupils.  Unduplicated pupils refer to students who are (1) foster youth or homeless, (2) English Learners, and  (3) income eligible for free or reduced meals. T.H.R.I.V.E. Academy is offered at all LUSD schools (Campus Park, Selma Herndon, Yamato Colony and Livingston Middle School).  Priority is given to students in grades TK-6th with an aim to broaden the program to TK-8.
