Categorical Programs

What are Categorical Programs?

Categorical Programs are established by state or federal legislation and are designed to supplement the existing core/basic instructional program.  Most categorical programs are developed to serve a specific targeted group or audience.

Livingston Union School District prohibits discrimination, harassment, intimidation and bullying in all district programs, activities and employment based on actual or perceived ancestry, age, color, disability, gender, gender identity, gender expression, nationality, race or ethnicity, religion, sex, sexual orientation, pregnancy, breastfeeding, marital or parental status, or association with a person or a group with one or more of these actual or perceived characteristics in any programs or activities it conducts.  This applies to all acts related to school activities or school attendance with a school under the jurisdiction of Livingston Union School District.
