District English Learners Advisory Committee (DELAC)

 

PURPOSE 

Oversee ELL programs and ensure compliance. 

 

TASK

Provide input on ELL programs; conduct district ELL needs assessment; approve ELL Plan, Title III Plan, and approve the Consolidated Application.

 

MEETINGS

All meetings take place at 5:30-6:30 pm in the District Conference Room (DCR) at 922 B Street.

Dual Language Academy Task Force (DLA TF) Committee

 

PURPOSE

The DLA Task Force (DLA TF) serves as an advisory committee and assists with the development and implementation of the dual language program.  The DLA TF provides input, makes recommendations, and advocates for the program. The DLA TF membership consists of teacher and parent representatives from the sites as well as site administrators and District educational leaders.  The DLA TF meets at least three times a year.  

 

TASK

Evaluate the District’s DLA program.  Provide recommendations for continued refinement and improvement of District’s DLA model.

 

Become knowledgeable in DLA issues, research and best practices to serve as a DLA expert and lead.

 

MEETINGS

All meetings take place at 3:00-4:00 pm in the District Conference Room (DCR) at 922 B Street.
